Janelle Kroner Fine Art

Janelle Kroner (b.1980 Janelle Randall) resides in the PNW in the town of Union along the southern part of the Hood Canal. Painting mostly from life through travels both close to home and abroad, and when it rains, as it often does at home, she's setting up still life's inspired by color combinations and textured patinas.

Kroner finds style inspiration in historical works such as ancient European murals and mosaics. In her travels you may find her seeking out and basking at the sight of ancient frescos and aging decorative motifs. Annual travels through Europe with her husband, a workshop teacher and gallery artist, James Kroner, has only fed this vein of inspiration.

As the current President of Plein Air Washington Artists, Janelle enjoys the planning of statewide painting events and the comraderie that painting in groups provides. She served formerly as the Managing Director of the Highland Art Center, with her consistent passion to encourage artists to find their individual strengths. Prior to that she worked at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and various Bay Area galleries, always keeping a consistent focus on how art and it's inspiration has a positive affect on individuals. Coninciding with the public work, at that time Janelle also worked as a decorative artist for a decade. Creating bespoke murals, decorative finishes and mosaic works all site specific pieces for clients ranging from tech offices, boutiques, designers, architects and eccentric residential clients with visions of altering aesthetics.

After years of painting for clients, Janelle has turned the page and her focus to her own vision and individual style. She paints almost daily. This site has a sampling of the recent works, so check and follow on Instagram for further updates adventures and fresh works.
